Malfoy finds solace from an unlikely comforter, Moaning Myrtle

Description : As much as I hate to pity the git, it is rather sad.
From: razza (Thu Jul 21 17:03:25 2005)
Yeah, who would have thought? Especially since she was killed by his new master... I still can't believe Malfoy cried.
From: Nadine (Sun Jul 24 18:49:26 2005)
Holy crow! Now even I feel sorry for the little rotter!
From: Briana (Fri Jul 29 02:47:42 2005)
i love this picture...it shows malfoy is human. im sad he didn't go to dumbledore's side when offered from dumbledore

I honestly didn't expect him to. He's way too much of a coward for that.
From: me (Sun Jul 31 16:35:22 2005)
Huh? He wanted to but the other DEs turned up. What was he supposed to do?
From: Administrator (admin) (Mon Aug 1 04:21:18 2005)
If he was strong enough to try and kill Dumbledore, he could surely have been strong enough for two or three Death Eaters. He could have done SOMETHING, there was plenty of time. Besides, there's nothing to indicate he 'wanted' to. Just that he didn't really want to be on Voldemort's side. In any case, he's shown signs of cowardice from the start. [/rant]

Exactly. As Jo always says, it's the choice between what's easy and what's right that is the core of the story. Draco chose to do what's easy (that is, save his own neck...albeit for a rather decent cause: his family) than what is right (i.e. oppose the evil that is Voldemort).

Excelent pic, by the way. (sorry about the rant)

Love how scrawny and weak Malfoy looks really captures the emotion of the scene, and Myrtle is brilliant also.
From: Marica Malfoy (Sat Dec 24 16:28:08 2005)
I me, Draco doesnt look like he's crying. I looks more like he's bleeding.
From: B. Snape (Sun Dec 25 02:52:29 2005)
This is what makes me think that Draco is not bad. I LOVE DRACO!!!!
From: Administrator (admin) (Mon Dec 26 11:24:34 2005)
Actually, this is what makes me think Draco is a coward. Sure, I pity him, but it doesn't convince me he's good.
From: Mione_Bookworm (Tue Feb 21 20:06:21 2006)
Neither does it convince me.
From: Saphy (Mon Apr 17 22:20:21 2006)
No! Must...not...feel...sorry...for...Malfoy! Must...stop...speaking...like...Shatner! *headdesks*

Okay, better now, sorry. Great pic, as always. This scene surprised me so much when I first read the book, and your depiction of it is great. *thumbs-up*

Poor Malfoy!
From: Hannah (Mon Mar 19 17:49:05 2007)
this is one of the only times that I feel sorry for Malfoy. poor guy
From: Hannah (Mon Mar 19 17:50:23 2007)
i wouldn't necessarily call his cowardly
From: draco ebony black (Thu Apr 26 14:25:06 2007)
its obvios that malfoy didn't want to kill dumbledore, and even if he did, he didn't have no choice cause if no one had killed dumbledore, he and his family would have been killed. and the only reason i think snape did it was cause he was under the imperius curse.

Man, really good emotion-capturing! When i read this part, i thought "wow, he's not such a bad boy after all" he's just caught in this whole Death-Eater mess because of his STUPID dad! Not even Narcissa wants to be involved in it.
From: sak (Sun Aug 5 03:46:46 2007)
I'm with 'quiditchchick'........
From: Nyoka (Sat Aug 11 08:59:04 2007)
I agree with quidditchchick. The only reason Draco's caught up in all of this is because of his Death-Eater dad. DIE LUCIUS!
From: caitlin (Sun Sep 2 07:21:29 2007)
haha..what a wuss
From: Emily (Sun Oct 7 21:45:14 2007)
