After reading of Dumbledore's "For the Greater Good" anti-muggle sentiments of his younger years, Harry feels he never really knew Dumbledore, which causes inexpressible angst.

| Ah, angsty goodness. Harry confuses knowing Dumbledore as a full-grown adult with knowing Dumbledore as a still-immature young man. His past writings don't jibe with what Harry knows of his mentor simply because, over time, Dumbledore was able to transcend what he had been. By the time Harry gets to know him, he is not the man he once was. |
